Discussion Questions:

1. Are you a sensitive person? Are you more emotional or less emotional than other people? What makes you think so?
My family says that I rarely show any emotions and it’s quite hard to get any reaction out of me. In my opinion I can freely express emotions near people that are close to me.
2. Can you control your emotions well? How?

I can say that I can, but sometimes I can rise my voice or say something inappropriate out of anger. I still try to compose my emotions and stay calm in every situation.
3. When are emotions a problem?

Emotions can be too much and sometimes it can become a huge problem, but in my opinion being too exited for nothing or being too disappointed for small things may annoy people nearby.
4. What is a crime of passion? Can you understand why feelings could cause someone to commit a crime?
5. Are you generally a positive person or a negative person?

Being too positive or too negative can cause few problems with communicating with people, so I try to stay neutral and act properly in situations I have to.
6. Do you find it easy to explain your feelings to another person? If not, why is it difficult?

For me it’s quite difficult to express feelings and trying to explain them might be more difficult. I can’t find right words to do that and people sometimes might understand it the wrong way.
7. What makes you feel very good?

Staying alone, in peace or with people that I’m feeling comfortable with is the only thing that makes me feel actually good.
8. Is there a limit to how often we can feel good? In other words, if you feel good now, does that mean you will feel bad at some time later?

Of course, nothing can last infinite. But if you’re feeling good now, you should enjoy it, because you can feel worse anytime later.
9. Is sadness a bad feeling? Are there good types of sadness and bad types of sadness? Give an example if you can.

Sadness isn’t a bad feeling. There’s no bad feelings. It’s nice if you can feel empathy or understand other people’s feelings.
10. What makes you feel sad?

11. If you’re feeling down, how can you make yourself feel better?
Doing something that I like, for example taking a walk, listening to music, staying with my cat or talking to a friend can lift my mood. Sometimes even just acknowledging my feelings and talking to myself helps me feel a bit better.
12. What is the saddest movie, song, or story that you know?
13. What makes you feel nervous? How can you calm your nerves?

I feel nervous before public speaking or important conversations. Reminding myself that preparation matters more than perfection usually helps calm me down, but not always.
14. Are you excited about anything coming up in the near future?

Having something to look forward to, even something simple like meeting a friend or a family dinner adds energy and hope to the present.
15. Have you felt satisfied recently? What made you feel that way?

Yes, completing a challenging task or helping someone and seeing the impact often brings a deep sense of satisfaction. It reminds me that I spent my time for something helpful. I like the feeling of being helpful for close people.
16. Do people know how you feel by looking at your face? Are you good at hiding your emotions?

As I said earlier I struggle with expressing emotions, so people can’t say what do I feel straight by looking at my face.
17. What is the best way to deal with feelings of anger?
18. When do you feel most energized? What do you like to do with that energy?

I feel most energized in the evening or even at night. I like using that energy to create or start something new, whether that’s writing, planning, or helping others.
19. Have you been in love? What is it like to be in love?

Of course I had been in love, many times. But it was more just a sympathy because I think that I’m still a but young for that. For me that feeling was something new for me, satisfying and warm, but at the same time scary.
20. Which is more powerful between feelings of love and feelings of hate?

It depends on persona and the situation. For someone love can be stronger, but for someone hate can be more powerful.
21. Can you read another person’s emotions? Can you easily tell how other people are feeling? How useful is this ability?

I can’t say that I read other person’s emotions or feelings, but I always try my best to understand what is a close person to me is thinking about.
22. What is emotional intelligence? How emotionally intelligent are you?

Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, express, and manage your emotions and recognize others’ emotions too. I work on being emotionally intelligent. It’s something we can all improve with awareness and effort.
23. Are women more emotional than men? Or is that just a stereotype?

That’s mostly a stereotype. Everyone experiences deep emotions, that depends on culture, situation, and personality, not just gender.

Famous women in history: Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel was born into poverty in France. After her mother’s death, she was sent to an orphanage, where she learned to sew—a skill that would shape her future. Before becoming a designer, she briefly worked as a cabaret singer, where she earned the nickname «Coco.» In the early 1900s, Chanel opened a small hat shop in Paris, designing simple, elegant hats for high-society women. By 1913, she expanded into clothing, introducing a new, more relaxed style that replaced the stiff, corseted fashion of the time. After stepping away from fashion for a time, Chanel made a major comeback in the 1950s, cementing her brand as one of the most influential in history. She worked until her death in 1971. Today, Chanel remains one of the most prestigious luxury brands in the world, and her revolutionary ideas—comfort, simplicity, and elegance—still define modern fashion.
